Hello and welcome to the visitors section of the Virtual College. The Virtual College was developed for students who, because of busy home/work schedules, family obligations, physical disabilities, geographical constraints, are unable to attend scheduled on-campus classes, Virtual College is ideal for working mothers, students who travel often, or those who live in distant locales.

Virtual College courses are fully accredited. Credits earned are recorded on students' transcripts in the same manner as for all other courses. Register for Virtual College courses just as you would for any other course: online, via STAR service, in person at any Campus, or by mail.

At the Virtual College, students are a part of a learning community where other adult learners and faculty interact and share knowledge to better help everyone in the class grow intellectually and professionally, and gain the learning objectives. Participation in the courses are required from the first day of class.

According to the learning objectives for the course and the faculty's course design, students are involved in a variety of activities such as discussion forums; live chat; viewing multimedia content; completing online assignments and field experiences; interacting with tutorials and educational games; participating in scavenger hunts and other online interactive strategies; working with groups; creating real products; and taking online quizzes and tests.
