Some Virtual College courses require proctored exams. These exams must be taken at one of Miami Dade's Testing centers or at other preapproved locations for out of area students.

Testing Do's and Don'ts
  • Do arrive at the Testing Center at least 10 minutes before the start of the test
     
  • Do arrive at the Testing Center before the last check-in time; you will not be allowed to take your test if you arrive late
     
  • Don't bring any materials (pens or pencils, paper, textbooks, notes, calculator, etc) unless your instructor specifies otherwise
     
  • Do check-in items such as cell phones, laptops, tablet PC's, PDA's, MP3 players, beepers, bookbags, etc, at the testing front-desk .
     
  • Do bring required Photo I.D. Proper ID's to bring with you are: Valid Driver's License, Florida ID, Passport, Alien Registration Card, Military ID. Please note that MDC ID's are not considered valid ID's for testing. Failure to present a proper ID at testing time will result in the forfeiture of scheduled testing period
     
  • Do bring required printed course schedule showing that you are enrolled in the course you will be accessing for the test
     
  • Don't send or receive e-mail in the Testing Center
     
  • Don't browse or use the computers in the Testing Center for any purpose other than testing

  • Students who previously received a grade of  " I " , and are completing a course, DO need to schedule tests on an individual basis with their instructor only.

Out of Area Students

MDC Virtual College students who live outside the South Florida area must locate an approved proctor to administer their tests. The proctor must be approved by MDC Virtual College. The student is responsible for paying the proctor.
