Over 80% of the Virtual College courses in the Summer 2008 term are using ANGEL.

In the Spring 2008 term, the Virtual College had over 26,000 credit hours in close to 350 sections with 37% growth.

The Virtual College is projecting 40% growth for the Summer 2008 term.

Over 60% of all Virtual College courses are taught by full-time Miami Dade College faculty.

Teaching for the Virtual College

Faculty who are currently teaching for the Virtual College are leaders in using innovative instructional technology. They enjoy both the one-on-one as well as the group teaching strategies afforded by web-based instruction.

With the growth of the Virtual College, we are looking for qualified faculty to teach Virtual College courses. Faculty must have a Master's Degree and a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the corresponding discipline from a regionally accredited institution. In addition, prior to teaching in the Virtual College, candidates must successfully complete the faculty training provided by MDC (ANGEL Training and Virtual College Certification).
